While cool gear is important, it’s nothing without good, smart and experienced people! We’re proud of our staff- they bring countless years of training, practice and knowledge to their jobs and they are why Earthshaking Music has been Creative Loafing Readers Pick for Best Music Store year after year. Thanks guys!
Dave brings to Earthshaking Music a diverse set of skills including design and fine woodworking, the semi-mastery of a wide range of percussion instruments, a nearly bionic eye for measuring things without a ruler and then quickly forgetting their dimensions, and the uncanny ability to diagnose car problems by the sound they make and an equally uncanny distaste for getting his hands greasy. Dave is semi-retired and is active in teaching percussion and fitness, and learning new skills such as welding, and the Russian martial art Systema.
Co-Founder Lisa Strohauer has a background in Industrial Design and Graphic Design and is responsible for our day to day business operations. Lisa is a talented photographer and an amazing cook and mom to son Sterling. She also love her kitties, Spot and Cookoo.
General Manager, Stringed Instrument & Tube Electronic Repairs, Sales
Eric, our General Manager, is the backbone of Earthshaking Music and has been with us since 2000. Eric is responsible for guitar and tube amp repairs and has the gift/curse of having memorized 10,000+ item IDs. He has the ability to multi-task at a super-human level, often with one hand in a guitar amp, a phone under his ear ordering stuff, all while telling a great, risque’, joke and designing a new pedal in his head. Eric is a great guitarist (Supafuzz) and film composer and he designs and builds awesome guitar amps and effects pedals under the EdamB brand.
Charlie is a long-time guitarist in the blues and early rock styles, a professional photographer, and an avid collector of vintage Gibson guitars and Heritage guitars. In his spare time Charlie tutors English at Ga. Perimeter College

As the newest member of Earthshaking, Chris brings years of experience playing guitar and other stringed instruments in genres of rock, funk, folk, and jazz. After a fews years as an international intern of mystery, he returned to his hometown of Atlanta to hand raise cats. With an MBA from GSU, he also works as the Board Financial Advisor and Chief Absurdive Office for the Electric Tapeworm Art Collective. Lying lil’ Chris has never dressed as a rabbit. Never. Sad. So sad.
